The Wedding

One of Jim's friends got married last weekend. Jim was in the wedding. Mackenzie and I went to watch. As soon as she saw Jim walk out with the other guys she started crying and we had to leave the sanctuary for the rest of the ceremony. She wanted her daddy. I knew she would either get excited or cry because she couldn't be up there with him. Here is a picture of all of us dressed up.

Of course, we went to the reception after the wedding. We have a little dancer on our hands with Mackenzie. She did not want to get off the dance floor. She likes to dance so much we put her in gymnastics. I will post pictures on that later. She loves to jump. She has the motion but just can't get her feet off the ground yet. :-) When that happens she will be our little jumping bean.

Mackenzie is getting all of her eye teeth, so she is a little uncomfortable. We all had a great time at the wedding!

I got a new haircut!

Yes, it was that time again. Time for another haircut for Mackenzie. She was such a good girl. Here are a couple pictures I got afterwards. I'm sure it will be much cooler for her.
Aww, she's so cute!

The princess fake sleeping on her pillow. She loves her pillow-it makes her feel like a big girl.

Shhh!!!! The princess is sleeping!

Our little princess, Mackenzie, moves all over her bed when she sleeps. Now that she has her big girl bed, she can get in and out all by herself. We got her the bed not too long after her birthday, as we just felt that she was ready. She loves it! Here are some pictures of her at naptime of just one of the ways that we have caught her sleeping. She is a mover when it comes to sleep time. She actually started up on her pillow. As you can tell, if she stretched out the whole way, she would be hanging halfway off the bed.

Vacation Bible School

This past week, we had Vacation Bible School at church. I volunteered to help in the nursery, which of course was where Mackenzie was. She got to socialize with other children while she learned about Jesus, which was wonderful. Hopefully being in the nursery for a week straight will help her out on Sundays. :-) We'll see. She got to do crafts, eat snack, sing songs, do fingerplays, and meet some new friends. It was a great experience for both of us and a good change of pace from our daily routine.

Here are some pictures of different activities during the week.

Having some juice during snack time.

Painting with Grandma--have to make sure we have the paint smock on first. "Oh, no! I don't want to get it on my hands Mama!" This is what Mackenzie was thinking.

Carrying her lunchbox and all ready for school.

Playing with all the toys in the nursery.

We took all the little ones outside to play in the water. Of course, this was Mackenzie's favorite activity because it involved water.

The mission for the week was to collect tube socks for troops overseas. As you can tell, there was a great turnout.
Last day of VBS. It wore Mackenzie out so much that there wasn't one day during the week that we got home and she was awake. Within 2 minutes of being in the car each day, she was asleep and took about 3 hour +naps. That's a long time for her. VBS was from 9-12, but of course we had to be there earlier to greet the kids and wait til parents picked them up to leave. She was tired, but had a great time and did a great job!

All Dressed Up! And hard at work on the computer

Hello Everyone! Wanted to show you a couple pictures before Church on Sunday. Mackenzie looks very cute in her Sunday best with her beads. All dressed up and has somewhere to go. :-)

I have my beads on and I am ready to go!

Look at that little face. So adorable :-) The beads just finish off the outfit.

Mackenzie likes to play computer when Jim and I are looking up something. It is too cute! I wanted to include a couple pictures that we got one evening that she was actually sitting at the desk typing on the keyboard ( for pretend, of course).

Enjoy the video! As you can see, Mackenzie is hard at work.

Tune in for adventures at Vacation Bible School!

Feelin' Hot Hot Hot!

Happy Friday Everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying the HOT 90 degree weather! Be sure to stay cool and wear your sunglasses when going outside!

Lookin' cool in the shades. Also very happy to be going on a walk. It's one of Mackenzie's favorite things.
Look at the cool new shoes! Her favorite shoes for the summer. The best thing is (we are very proud of her for this) she can put them on herself and gets her foot in the right shoe almost every time. Yay Mackenzie! Enjoy your weekend and stay cool!

Fun in the Pool

We got Mackenzie a blow up frog pool. It is now warm enough to use the pool :-) So we let her get in yesterday. We also realized why there are "swim" diapers. Oh well, as you can see she had a good time splashin' around with her toys.
"Ahh, this is the life".
Having fun in the sun!
Lots of fun things to do in the pool!
Enjoy the video!
