Gymnastics 101

Mackenzie has really been enjoying her new gymnastics class-she has a great sense of balance!

It has taken her a little while to get used to the idea that I am not out there with her-she goes out by herself with the kids in her class. It gets a little better each time! I can tell she is really proud of herself!

The girl has a great sense of balance!

She is a pro at forward rolls!

She does this same thing on the bars in our closet!

Side step on the balance beam.

Forming a line to go back to the pit! She is constantly talking about lines at home now!

Jumping into the pit-it is full of soft foam shapes.

Getting her stamp from Miss Heather after class.

Then we sometimes come home and have a picnic!
Enjoy-we sure are! Happy Tuesday!

Just hangin' out

Mackenzie loves playing dress-up with all of her dresses and just playing with anything and everything. We were just getting ready to go to Kindermusik and I had just gotten her dressed when she decided she wanted to wear her Purdue dress and be Purdue Pete (who she adores). So we just put the dress on over her clothes. Let me tell ya, she was stylin' :-).

Go Purdue! Boiler Up!

The first bike ride!

Yay! We finally had a thaw out from the weather and had the chance to take Mackenzie on her first outside bike ride of the year. She did great and really enjoyed it! Only one fall, and she caught herself before she hit the ground. She did really well going into the grass before falling.

These 2 are ready to go!

I know, I know, next time we will remember the helmet.

She says this is how boys ride (by standing up on the pedals). I don't know where she got that other than watching daddy.
Getting going again after a fall.

Enjoy the pictures and video-we sure had a fun time on our walk. Just getting outside was nice....looking forward to many more bike rides with the Cinderella bike. Happy biking!

Happy Friday!

Mackenzie and I enjoy painting nails and playing with jewelry-so girly!

This is from one of my old charm necklaces-we are both taking pictures!

Such a pretty color on the nails!
Have a great weekend!

One Month

Til my baby girl turns 3! I can't believe it! Can't wait to fill everyone in on all the party details!

She is growing up before my eyes! I can't believe I will have to register her for preschool next month also-it goes too fast!

This is what happens.....

when our little one doesn't get a nap. We had a busy day so I tried to see if she was ready for no nap (she is almost 3 after all). Here is what happened at the dinner table.

We moved her before I thought about taking the picture. I am just glad she put her head on her arm and not in her plate of food, as there was ranch dressing and ketchup on there. She just couldn't keep her pretty little head up any longer. Guess we just aren't ready for no nap yet-didn't know til I tried-at least I still get a nap too for awhile! :-) Sweet Dreams Princess! Have a marvelous Monday!

A Shapely gift

Jim and I's big Christmas gift to each other this year was a new treadmill. I am proud of myself for using it as often as I have, I am just working on being more consistent. One night while I was walking on it, I taught Mackenzie to "walk like an Egyptian". It was funny!
Check out the video-she loves to watch it:

It's a new year-a great year to get myself in shape! The treadmill will definitely help out. The big advantage is it is at our house so I don't have to worry about childcare while exercising. Have a great weekend!

Christmas at the library

On December 23rd, our public library had a program for the kiddos called "A Very Grinchy Christmas". Yes, we watched the movie, had cookies, and did a craft. At the end, a special guest showed up. Mackenzie had quite the conversation with Santa-she made sure to tell him she wanted her Cinderella bike and Cinderella rings. It was too cute!

The pictures say it all.

On Christmas Morning

We'll wake up bright and early--well, mommy and daddy will, that is. The one day kids are supposed to wake up early, Mackenzie slept in. Oh well, we had a fun day. A couple of her big gifts were her Cinderella bike with training wheels and helmet and a princess fold-out couch. Her first words when she walked out and saw her bike were "oops" (don't know what that was all about).

She is so proud and excited about this bike! It'll be nice when it gets warmer and she can ride it outside so it isn't just sitting in the garage.
Here is a movie of the morning:

Check back as I will be posting a few more videos and a Christmas library post.

These boots are made for walking....

And that's just what she'll do! Yes, it is December and my daughter is wearing her daddy's boots and a sundress. The joys of playing dress-up. This is a daily ritual in our house--she is constantly changing dresses.
Happy New Year!
