A Toy or a Chair--What do you think?
Mackenzie has a little activity table with activities on one side and blocks on the other side. Take a look and see if this looks like a cozy chair to you. The way I see it, she is just being creative and finding a new place to read her book. :-) Happy Friday--Hope everyone has a good labor day weekend!

Stop and smell the roses (mums)
We planted some mums over the weekend. Mackenzie loves to see how they smell. I think this says it all. :-)
Be sure to take some time out of your day and smell the flowers. Nothing like the smell of fresh flowers.

A day at Turkey Run AND our 18 month checkup!
Sunday we took Mackenzie to Turkey Run State Park with Grandma and Grandpa. It was lots of fun and a beautiful day! We got to see lots of nature (Mackenzie was throwing a bunch of leaves away), did some trails, and saw the water. We ended with dinner at the Inn--we wore Mackenzie out!
Throwing nature away--we're very interested in throwing trash away right now.
Peeking through before going down the slide.

We had a great 18 month check-up on Monday. She is 32.75 inches TALL and her weight is 24.9 pounds. Lots of positive remarks from the doctor.

We caught some great pictures of her with the rest of the family!
Let's just say Mackenzie wanted carried most of the time.
A picture with the fam--We're number 1!!

By the way, she is hanging from the monkey bars by herself. Strong little girl.

A quick picture of her "feeding" her doggie some milk. She is supposed to be feeding herself her dinner, but this is too cute.

Happy 18 Months, Mackenzie!
Well, we made it through the first year and a half as first time parents. We celebrated yesterday by going out for dinner. :-) It has been awesome and the best experience. God has given us quite the little miracle. Now we have a very curious toddler on our hands. There are so many things that we love about Mackenzie--the list could go on and on and on. Of course, we are her parents, so everything about her is perfect. Here are a few things that I wanted to make a list of:
Wearing one of Daddy's shirts while pushing her stroller. This is the shirt that she picked out and wanted to wear.
1. Her laughter and giggles when we tickle her.
2. Her urge to explore everything in the world.
3. Her grin and her happy disposition.
4. The way she can mess up a room (house) within seconds but take forever to clean it up.
5. The way she loves to read and be read to (especially with mommy being a teacher).
6. Her climbing abilities (they are amazing!)
7. Her willingness and happiness when we go on outings.
8. Her fullness of energy (it keeps mommy and daddy on their toes!)
9. Her excitabilty about walks (we all get our exercise in).
10. When she is lovable, and just constantly gives hugs and kisses.
It is so rewarding, as a parent, to see and watch her grow and do all the new things that she does. She has so many things to learn, but yet, she has already learned so many new things.
Thank you, God, for this wonderful gift to us.
Love you, Mackenzie!
