Lots to catch up on

Wow! There has been a lot happening since I last blogged. Jim and I celebrated our four year anniversary and Mackenzie and I have been on many outings together. It will take me a few posts to catch up on everything. :-)

First off, Mackenzie now has a sandbox! She loves playing in it! As you can tell in the picures below, she is having a great time!

We also took Mackenzie to Splash Island, a local waterpark. She had a great time-and so did we! Lots of fun things for kids to do-big and little! Mackenzie even got to go down a little water slide-and loved it, of course! She did a great job practicing her new swim skills, also!

It has been such a fun and busy summer! Mackenzie has been at a great age and has soaked up so many things! She is such a smart little girl! I cannot believe next week is September and we will be welcoming a new season soon. We will have lots of fun things to do this fall that I will be sure to post about so stay tuned!

A Naptime Sleepover

Mackenzie was very creative at naptime today. She has so many animal friends that some of them end up in the corner on the other side of the room. She decided to join them at naptime today. It was too cute, and she was so comfy cozy. She made a little niche for herself. Check this out!

What's great about 2 1/2 ?

EVERYTHING!!!!!

Mackenzie can now say her abc's.

She can count to ten.

She loves practicing her months of the year and days of the week.

She also enjoys singing her night-night songs with Mommy.

Reading books is another favorite activity around our house.

Being VERY independent comes with the territory of this age.

We're a big girl-yup, Mackenzie is potty-trained (except for nap and bedtime)!!!! So exciting!

This is also the age of Princesses-it's great having a little girl who enjoys all the girl stuff!

This is such a wonderful age, but it is also an age that requires a lot of patience.

I love being a stay at home mom and treasure every minute of it but I sure do enjoy naptime! :-)

A Trip to the Airport

Mackenzie has always liked airplanes and points them out whenever we are out and about. She certainly has good eyes! We have a new airport so we decided to take a field trip there one morning to watch the airplanes and check everything out. Such fun!

Bowling for fun

Mackenzie got to go bowling for the first time. It was great fun! It was also quite the experience bowling with a 2 and a half year old! We had our ups and downs. There were about 8 kids and some of the time I was bowling for Mackenzie while holding her on my hip. I think her favorite part was the game room :-)

She was kind of leery until about the middle of the game, but I had to get a picture before the game was over. She did much better after we got the rail and really got the hang of the game. Her score was in the low 50's. Great Job Kenzie!
