Monkey Joe's

A couple of weeks before Mackenzie's birthday, we went to Monkey Joe's-it is a big bounce house place. We went with our friend Amy and her two boys, Ben and Max. Here are some pictures from the fun day:

Using up some energy!

Mackenzie and Ben, who both said they weren't tired, fell asleep when we were about 3/4 of the way home.

Mr. Max fell asleep too. He was the first one to go to sleep--the youngest too!
Happy Bouncing!

Birthday Party-Part 2

As soon as our friends left from the first party, we had to get things ready for our family to come and visit the birthday girl. We got the food ready (some snacks) and got everything set up-then it was time to relax a little bit before everyone got there. Here are some fun pictures from the party.

Needless to say, it was a ver fun-filled day. Little Miss did not get a nap that day, and we were all tired at the end of the day. Oh well, much fun was had by all-thank you to everyone for making it a successful day!

Birthday Part 1

Since we had 2 birthday parties, I will do 2 birthday party posts. The first party we had was a friends' party from 11-1. Mackenzie woke up bright and early and ready for the day to start. First thing she wanted to do was open her gift from us (we got her bitty baby from American girl):

She named her Baby Ann (her middle name) as she was feeding her her first bottle.

Happy Birthday Kenzie!

Laying down while baby Ann takes a nap.
Then it was on to breakfast. She had decided she wanted a donut with a candle it so she that's what she got. We then got ready for the party. We had to reassemble the treat bags (the balloons deflated during the night), bring the drinks in, and make sure everything was cleaned up. Mackenzie had a special Cinderella balloon:

Each child got a treat bag filled with some goodies from the party. They also got a balloon. First thing we did was eat some pizza!

Then we had a little fun with Pin the tail on the Donkey. The kids had a lot of fun but kept taking the mask off right before sticking the tail on--too cute!

A quick group picture before cake-at this point, this was as much as they would sit still. From the left, Mikka, Kenzie, Addison, Cade, Ben and Max

Mackenzie has been enjoying all of her birthday gifts-thank you to everyone who came! The party was a huge success and a ton of fun!

Prepping for the party

We had such fun getting ready for Mackenzie's birthday parties. There were 2 of them this year. In the morning, we had a small party for a few of her friends. In the afternoon, we had our family over. A fun time was had by all. I am going to break down the birthday into three posts. One reason is because she is 3 now and another reason is that I can touch on party preparations, and also share a little bit about each party.

Mackenzie and I spent some of the week giving the house a good cleaning (more like I cleaned and she helped by making a mess in the room I was working on at the time). Friday was the day we made cupcakes for her friends. I had found some princess sprinkles that we used for the top. Here are a few pictures of us baking cupcakes-Mackenzie did a great job helping!

Sure smells good!

Exciting!

Ready to pour the batter in!

Gotta stir it up first!

So pretty!
Be checking back for more on the parties!

Three years ago today......

I gave birth to an 8lb 9oz beautiful baby girl. Today she is about 30 or so lbs and around 38 inches tall (we go for the 3 year checkup on Tuesday). She is a bundle of energy and the light of my life. She is our blessing and I thank God every day for having the opportunity to be her mommy. It is a job I wouldn't trade for anything. She has us wrapped around her little finger and is a very smart little girl. She is growing up before our very eyes. She is Mackenzie. I can't believe I have a 3 year old! Hapy birthday, sweet girl! Mommy and Daddy love you! Enjoy your special day!

I will post pictures soon! We have 2 parties today so we will be busy!
