Playing Catch-Up

I have taken many pictures lately and I will combine them all into one post. I don't have as much time to get on the computer and blog like I used to now that Aubrey is here. Mackenzie had her class Christmas party where they decorated cookies and exchanged gifts. I also took her to the Happy Birthday Jesus party at church. This is always such a busy time of year.

Right before she gets to decorate her cookie at the Happy Birthday Jesus party.

Just a pic of one of the bulletin boards in the Sunday School rooms.
Here she is at school...there are only 4 girls in her class. They were pasing the gift around, and when the music stopped, whoever had the bag got that particular gift. They did that for each gift.
Santa's little helper opening her gift.
Great game! She is already enjoying it! She is also very good at memory games. Only 6 more days til Christmas! Of course, Miss M is very excited! It is such a blessing to be able to celebrate Christmas this year with 2 girls! We feel very blessed to have such a wonderful, healthy family!

Christmas Party

Grandma and Grandpa had a Christmas party on Sunday-it was a lot of fun! Good food and good times! It was fun to see family that we don't see often. Aubrey got to meet a lot of family and friends for the first time, even though she slept through most of the party. There was a mystery guest-Santa! Aubrey opened her eyes long enough for Mackenzie to introduce them and then went back to sleep. Kenzie couldn't believe Santa was at Grandma and Grandpa's--what a special treat! She was just mesmerized. She told him she wants 5 Little Monkeys jumping on the bed game and a snow doll. She also told him she likes Rudolph. The kids listened to stories, got candy canes, sat on Santa's lap, said a prayer, and then everyone got pictures with him. Quite a night to remember!

Kenzie was waiting for Santa with cousins Diana and Emily. Aubrey is on her lap. They didn't know that Santa was coming yet.

Crazy girl!

Everyone listening to the story.

A family picture!

Thanks for a great party grandma and grandpa! It was great to see everyone!

Purdue Christmas Show

What a holiday themed weekend! Saturday we took Mackenzie to the Purdue Christmas Show. She enjoyed the upbeat music and seeing Santa in the show. We got dressed up and had a day with her. Aubrey stayed back with grandma and grandpa. After the show, we walked to the union to meet up with KC, Mackenzie's swim teacher from the summer. Kenzie was excited to see her again. We could tell the feeling was mutual.

Mackenzie and daddy-she loves this scarf of mine and looks so cute!
Just the three of us....having a good time but missing little sis!
The backdrop at the Christmas show--so pretty!

Stay warm! I will be posting soon about the Christmas party at grandma and grandpa's and the special guest--what fun!

Happy December!

Kind of a late post, but we took Mackenzie to the tree lighting downtown the day after Thanksgiving. It is becoming a tradition. Next year, when Aubrey is older, we will take her with us. It was pretty cold so we walked around the mall a little before heading outside. We had to stand pretty far back but that meant we were one of the first to leave so got in no traffic heading out. Here are some pictures of the evening.

What a fun evening!
