I took Mackenzie for her 2 year appointment on Friday. We are going to have a star forward basketball player for the lady Boilers on our hands. If we follow the old wives' tale, she will be around 5 feet 9 inches or so. Right now she is 34 3/4 inches tall. She will be taller than mommy and daddy!! Her weight is 27 lbs 4 ozs. We also got her 2 year pictures back. Please go to this website to view them : http://www.smilesbywire.com and enter the following: Customer Name: Allie Noland Access Code: LTPP0807117853JCP
Enjoy and I will be doing a special post for the 2 year birthday!

First snow, the museum (again) and more good news!
Well, it has been awhile since I have been blogging and a lot has happened. Mackenzie got to play in the first snow, we took another trip to the children's museum, and Jim got a new job!
A view of the outside. The first snow is always so pretty to look at.
A view from inside the house. Mama stayed in where it was nice and warm.

Aren't they beautiful? Jim came home and spoiled me with flowers last night after hearing about getting his new job. Thanks, honey! I love you! We're all very excited about the new job!
FYI: DO NOT go to the museum on a free day. Both President's Day and MLK Day's are freebies. We are members but went anyways. Bad idea! Wall to wall people. Oh well, we made it through and Mackenzie did a great job staying happy and close by us.

First visit to the Children's Museum--2009
Well, today was the first of many visits to the Children's Museum (http://www.childrensmuseum.org/ )for us this year. First off, we want to thank Nana and GrandBob for the Christmas gift of a membership to the museum for a year. Mackenzie had a blast! She is at a great age for all the fun that they have to offer at the museum. We spent about 3 hours there this morninng and explored tons of stuff --too much to name so enjoy all the pictures and video!
Putting her boat that she made in the water.
Watching the boat float. She did a great job!
In the Health House.
Brushing the dinosaur's teeth in the bathroom at the Health House. Now her teeth are nice and shiny white!
Scooping up the dirt. This area was a lot of fun for Mackenzie.

Mama and Kenzie on the carousel. We did this 3 times at least.
Of course, she had to play with the train. This was another favorite. She actually climbed in the circle so she could play easier.

Daddy and Kenzie in the train area. All Aboard!

Check out this video of her in the construction zone. Pretty cool!
All in all, it was a great day and we had lots of fun. We look forward to many more fun times of visiting the museum and seeing all that they have to offer. Mackenzie was asleep within a few minutes of leaving the parking garage. She had a busy morning!

An Apple A Day Keeps the Doctor Away
Mackenzie has really enjoyed eating apples recently. Her favorite way of eating them is just biting into the core. She doesn't eat them as well if we cut the apple into sections. It has really been neat watching her grow over the last two years. 2 years!!!! I can't believe in a little over a month my baby will be two!
Check out this video of her eating her apple and having a conversation with daddy.

We're starting to get into January, and the long stretch of winter. The winter blues. I am starting to get into a blog rut...I am trying to think of some exciting ideas for this month. If you have any ideas, please click the comment button and send them my way. I will try to think of something creative.
By the way, if anyone has any ideas on getting a toddler to sleep in her own bed, please also click the comment button. Mackenzie is going through some separation anxiety issues and refuses to sleep in her own bed all of a sudden and screams--even at naptime. Any ideas?
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
