Christmas Party

Grandma and Grandpa had a Christmas party on Sunday-it was a lot of fun! Good food and good times! It was fun to see family that we don't see often. Aubrey got to meet a lot of family and friends for the first time, even though she slept through most of the party. There was a mystery guest-Santa! Aubrey opened her eyes long enough for Mackenzie to introduce them and then went back to sleep. Kenzie couldn't believe Santa was at Grandma and Grandpa's--what a special treat! She was just mesmerized. She told him she wants 5 Little Monkeys jumping on the bed game and a snow doll. She also told him she likes Rudolph. The kids listened to stories, got candy canes, sat on Santa's lap, said a prayer, and then everyone got pictures with him. Quite a night to remember!

Kenzie was waiting for Santa with cousins Diana and Emily. Aubrey is on her lap. They didn't know that Santa was coming yet.

Crazy girl!

Thanks for a great party grandma and grandpa! It was great to see everyone!

Christmas at the library

On December 23rd, our public library had a program for the kiddos called "A Very Grinchy Christmas". Yes, we watched the movie, had cookies, and did a craft. At the end, a special guest showed up. Mackenzie had quite the conversation with Santa-she made sure to tell him she wanted her Cinderella bike and Cinderella rings. It was too cute!

The pictures say it all.

Merry Tykes Library Special

It is so much fun to go to library programs. Mackenzie really enjoys it and so do I. Today we got to go to a Christmas special. What fun! We learned some new songs and did a special craft.

Then it was time to head to McDonald's for a special lunch treat!

Breakfast with Santa

Last weekend, Mackenzie was lucky enough to have breakfast with Santa. We took her to one of the middle schools and she got to sit on Mrs. Clause's lap (she was a little leery of Santa). She got to make crafts, have her face painted, go to the Santa Shoppe and eat some yummy school breakfast (ahh, the memories that brought back).

Up next in line to see Santa.

Here we are!

Making her reindeer craft.

Face painting-picture of Santa!
It was a fun breakfast. Lots of activities for the kids! Look forward to doing it again!

Some early Holiday Cheer

Jim was working on a project Saturday (more on that later) so Mackenzie and I went to my parents' and helped my mom put up Christmas stuff. Such fun! Here's some early holiday cheer to warm your hearts.

This will be a super fun Holiday season!

Going to see Santa

We took Mackenzie to the State Museum over the weekend to see Santa. There was a train there that she went on 3 time while waiting in the LONG line for Santa. She loves trains so this was very exciting for her!
Here's a picture of her riding the train. She was all smiles and couldn't get enough of it. The train made a loop and at the back were Santa's helpers.

A family picture after getting off the train.

Me and my little Chicklet.

Getting to see Santa! It's a little different seeing him in person than it is in pictures or on TV.

Here is a video of riding the train:

As you can tell, it was a very fun train ride! Mackenzie would have done it over and over again, but we thought three times was enough.

Stay tuned for the next post: Our family Christmas card!

WOW!! Only 10 days 'til Christmas!
