A Summer Trip to the Children's Museum

Jim took Mackenzie to the Children's Museum on Sunday for some daddy/daughter time. They both really enjoyed themselves and did lots of fun things. They did see a new exhibit (Rock and Roll). Mackenzie also rode the carousel and they took some fun pictures.

Motorcycle Babe!

Nice Ride

How Sweet!

Digging for Fossils!
I didn't know what to do while they were gone, it was so quiet. So I had some lunch, did some laundry, and went shopping. What else is a girl supposed to do? :-)

Spooktacular Fun!

Happy early Halloween! Been to any Haunted Houses lately! We got to go to the Haunted House at the Children's Museum--what fun! We took Mackenzie to the Friendly hours and even let her wear her Halloween costume. She loved that! Of course, afterwards, we had to visit the carousel and many other things at the museum. I lost track of how many times we rode the carousel :-).

Just before going into the Haunted House. We had to snap a quick picture, as we weren't allowed to take any pictures while in the Haunted House.

One of the many times on the carousel.

Another animal we rode was the lion.

Of course, mommy and daddy had to have a turn with pictures too!
Happy Wednesday! Only 3 more days til Trick or Treat day! Hope all the little ones have their costumes! Stay tuned for the post on Pumpkin carving! Have you been to any good Haunted Houses this Halloween season?

The Children's Museum

Well, we got in our first trip of the summer to the Children's Museum. Of course, the first place we had to go was the carousel. Mackenzie was SO VERY EXCITED to be going back-she was grinning from ear to ear! She was so excited to be on the carousel, that she got tears in her eyes. She was so emotional she almost cried. It was too cute! Let's just say we rode the carousel 5 times!
We rode a different animal each time: the giraffe, deer, horse, lion.

She would climb up and then slide down--very bumpy ride down!

I see you Mackenzie!

So happy to be on that carousel!

All in all, it was a great morning. We got to ride the carousel, go through the tunnel, in the Health House, splash in some water, go up in the clubhouse, through the mirror maze, eat lunch, and more! Lots of fun! Afterwards, it was time for a nice nap. :-) Hope everyone has a great weekend! We will be starting a new project at our house. I will give you a clue in the next post so stay tuned!

Lots of fun at the museum

Well, we took another trip to the children's museum before daddy goes back to work. He is scheduled to start Monday, Feb. 16th. I am trying to post pictures each time of different things that we have done so I am not posting the same each time. Of course, our first stop was the carousel, Mackenzie's favorite place. Something new we did this time was the Dinosphere. Check it out!

Watch out IRL--we have a new driver. She's so talented she can even stand up while she drives!

Playing in the water at Playscape. If it's splashing in water, Mackenzie likes it!

Look at this big duck!

That's Jim and Mackenzie in the bubble at Dinosphere. Pretty cool!

Mackenzie protecting all the Dinosaur eggs.

Mommy, Daddy, and Kenzie dressing up like Dinosaurs!

Here we are wagging our tails.
Thanks Grandma and Papa for coming to play with us at the museum. We had a lot of fun! Please check out the previous post of Ring around the Rosie. It is a cute video. Well, I better get to wrapping some gifts for the birthday girl! Enjoy!

First snow, the museum (again) and more good news!

Well, it has been awhile since I have been blogging and a lot has happened. Mackenzie got to play in the first snow, we took another trip to the children's museum, and Jim got a new job!

FYI: DO NOT go to the museum on a free day. Both President's Day and MLK Day's are freebies. We are members but went anyways. Bad idea! Wall to wall people. Oh well, we made it through and Mackenzie did a great job staying happy and close by us.

Daddy and Kenzie ready to go out and play in the snow. She is our little snow bunny.

A view of the outside. The first snow is always so pretty to look at.

A view from inside the house. Mama stayed in where it was nice and warm.

Aren't they beautiful? Jim came home and spoiled me with flowers last night after hearing about getting his new job. Thanks, honey! I love you! We're all very excited about the new job!

First visit to the Children's Museum--2009

Well, today was the first of many visits to the Children's Museum (http://www.childrensmuseum.org/ )for us this year. First off, we want to thank Nana and GrandBob for the Christmas gift of a membership to the museum for a year. Mackenzie had a blast! She is at a great age for all the fun that they have to offer at the museum. We spent about 3 hours there this morninng and explored tons of stuff --too much to name so enjoy all the pictures and video!
Putting her boat that she made in the water.

Watching the boat float. She did a great job!

In the Health House.

Brushing the dinosaur's teeth in the bathroom at the Health House. Now her teeth are nice and shiny white!

Scooping up the dirt. This area was a lot of fun for Mackenzie.

Mama and Kenzie on the carousel. We did this 3 times at least.

Daddy and Kenzie on the carousel.

Playing in the water at PlayScape.

Some fun building blocks.

Pushing the lawn mower.

Now she's a pilot on the airplane. :-) Such a busy girl!

Of course, she had to play with the train. This was another favorite. She actually climbed in the circle so she could play easier.

Daddy and Kenzie in the train area. All Aboard!
Check out this video of her in the construction zone. Pretty cool!
All in all, it was a great day and we had lots of fun. We look forward to many more fun times of visiting the museum and seeing all that they have to offer. Mackenzie was asleep within a few minutes of leaving the parking garage. She had a busy morning!
