Halloween 2010

Aubrey got to celebrate her first Halloween this year and Mackenzie enjoyed trick or treating, as usual. Mackenzie chose to be Silvermist (Tinkerbell's friend) and Aubrey was a pumpkin.

Pumpkin Carving Fun!

What fun it was to carve pumpkins this year! Mackenzie was so excited--she was just ready to light the pumpkin up and sing "Happy Birthday" to it. :-) Two and a half year old minds are great! She was definitely more interested this year, but still really didn't want to stick her hands in too much. She would hold it, though, after we got all the stuff out.

We're all set up and ready to start!

Daddy and Kenzie getting all the "goop" out-what fun!

Oooooh--scary!

Of course, we had to do our annual "P" for Purdue Pumpkin!
We sure got a lot of seeds this year and they sure are yummy! Happy Halloween Eve! Check back soon-I have a lot more fun posts coming up!

Carving Pumpkins

Sunday night we took time to carve pumpkins. We were really excited about this--plus, the pumpkin seeds are good after they are baked. :-) We brought the pumpkins inside and Mackenzie tried to lift them up--very heavy! We made hers look like elmo--she liked that. By the way, she now says Elmo. We are trying out lots of new words. Being the neat person that she is, doesn't like to get messy. We could NOT get her to stick her hands in the pumpkin. I did get some good pictures of her daddy carving the pumpkins. :-) Our little "helper".
Daddy, hard at work.

"Can I help, Dada?"

The finished product.

Thanks, Daddy! You did a great job!

Love,
Mackenzie
