A trip to the zoo!

We wanted to get in a trip to the zoo before school started! My mom and I decided to take the girls--it was a beautiful day and Aubrey's first zoo trip! We saw the dolphin show, cheetahs, penguins, polar bear, walrus, baby elephant, giraffes, etc. We ate lunch there, rode the train, and Kenzie rode the merry go round--busy day!

School starts next Tuesday for Kenzie so be watching for a post on that! Her last first day of preschool!

Summer Gymnastics class!

Kenzie had so much fun at gymnastics this summer! She loved teasing Miss Heather about IU, since we are such big Purdue fans! Boiler Up Miss Heather :-)

Summer Swim Lessons

Among other things, we also got some swim lessons in this summer for Kenzie. She was so glad Miss KC was going to teach her. She improved so much in her swimming in a short time! Thanks KC!

I had to get one of Little Aubrey in there too! Great job Kenzie on swimming!

Summer Pool Fun!

We have had to find some ways to stay cool this summer--it has been hot! So we played in the sprinkler and pool! Here are some pics playing in the pool!

Stitches? Yikes!

Yup, Mackenzie got her first stitches this summer. She was showing me a game on a chair--it didn't quite work out the way she planned. When we got to the ER, the first thing she told the nurse was that IU Stinks! She got three blue stitches and the nurses and doctor were all very nice. She said she was going to dream about how nice they were. We were then back on our way to continue our day. She says she will never do that again! We sure hope not!

Sisters having fun!

Besides VBS, we have had a busy summer! Gymnastics, Mackenzie's first (and hopefully last!)stitches, visiting the parks, swimming, staying in and out of the heat wave, storytime for both girls at the library, bike rides, playdates with friends, visiting the children's museum, and just having fun!

Aubrey has been busy herself this summer. She has gone from crawling to pulling up to starting to cruise along furniture! She loves to show what a big girl she is....she just got her first tooth last week and loves to eat the food we are eating! So messy! Such a fun age!
