July 4th Festivities-How we celebrated the big 3-0!

As always, we had a lot going on this year around the 4th of July. July 3rd was Uncle Mike's birthday, so we went out to dinner to celebrate his birthday and mine (which was on the 4th-the big 3-0 for me!). We then went to the park for the carnival extravaganza-Mackenzie was at a great age and loved all the rides and games!

First stop: Airplanes-this was a big hit as she loves Mickey Mouse!

July 4th brought rain on our parade. We still enjoyed ourselves and had a good time! Mackenzie had a great time with friends, seeing police cars, fire trucks, horses, and getting candy!

After the parade, it was on to the party-fun times! This was quite the big year for me turning 30, so as usual, we had quite the party with family and friends. I loved hearing Mackenzie tell me "Happy Birthday Mommy" this year-nothing like it! She is still saying it 4 days later-too cute!

All in all, it was a great day, even though the weather didn't cooperate-- we will hope for fireworks next year. Thanks to all who came to the party-it was a great time!

This week is the end of swim lessons and this weekend is mommy's first weekend away trip. There will be lots of Daddy/Daughter time this weekend-they will have lots of fun while mommy is off at the spa getting pampered!
