Chicago!

Grandma and Grandma's birthday gift to Mackenzie was taking her to Chicago to visit the American Girl Store. The thing is, grandma wanted to make it a girls trip so grandpa stayed home and I got to go--what fun! We got up about 4:15 and got ready to go catch the train that left at 6am. We were up super duper early so here is what happened with Mackenzie on the train.

Yup, after playing on my phone, looking at the scenery, and talking, she finally fell asleep for about half an hour (we had to fill the 5 hour train trip with something).

Here are some fun pictures of the American Girl store. We had a great time! Kenzie got the Bitty Baby crib and bedding from grandma, grandpa, and Uncle Mike. We got her the doctor kit. She wants to be a doctor when she grows up.

Her and Baby Ann--when we went to the Cafe for lunch the waitress asks how many dolls. Too cute!
Since it was a trip for her birthday, she got a complimentary candle with her dessert and we all sang to her, including our waitress. Such a special time for her and a huge grin on her face!
Her and Grandma!
Me and my big almost four year old--it was two days until her birthday when we went!
Check out the movie of the Cafe area!

All in all, it was a great day and one we will definitely remember! We also took her to the Disney Store--her first time to one--so fun seeing it through her eyes! Grandma got her two princess dolls and I got her the Tangled Rapunzel Dress and a Tinkerbell night night. We had lots of goodies coming home. Kenzie was so tired she fell asleep on the taxi ride from the shopping center to the train station (an 8 minute ride). She did great for not having much sleep that day! We were all ready for a nap by lunch time!
