First day of Preschool 2011

It's that time again--school time! Kenzie was very excited about starting her school year! She gets to take her lunch. What fun! I am very interested in hearing about her day today. She grabbed my arm as we were going in and said "This is going to be so much fun!". Here are some first day school pics. Enjoy!

Me and my little girl who is getting to be such a big girl!

Aubrey looks like she is thinking "What is going on?"

Kenzie and her friend Chloe--they are in the same class. They were friends from last year.

Picking out her nametag. Love how Aubrey is making sure to be in the picture. :-)

Got her book and ready to sit down for the day.

They grow up so fast! It is very quiet now since Aubrey is taking a nap. :-)

Here's to a great school year!

Preschool Fall Party

What fun! I am so glad I got to help out at Mackenzie's fall party at school. It was a lot of fun and something special to do with her before Miss Aubrey gets here tommorow. She got to make a pumpkin magnet, pin the parts on the pumpkin, read books, eat snack and play BINGO. I got some great pictures and it was neat to see her interact with her friends. I can tell she is really enjoying school and that makes us very happy!

Making her pumpkin magnet.

The final product--Beautiful!

Decorating her cookie for snack.

Putting the parts on the pumpkin.
This is how she did--Wow! Even though she was blindfolded, wonder if she was peeking?

Story stations all about pumpkins.
Enjoying her snack--it was the cookie that she decorated.
All in all, it was a great party and all the kids seemed to really enjoy themselves!

First Day of Preschool

Well, we got through the first day of preschool. I had some tears (after leaving her) and Mackenzie was all smiles. We are so proud of her! She did so well--we went in with her, got her nametag on, helped her get her bookbag in her cubby, helped her find her spot on the rug for circle time, and then said our good-byes. It was fun to hear what she had to say when I picked her up. Luckily, there was a note sent home with things the kids did so I could ask her about stuff other than going outside to play. :-) She did say she made a school bus (I am assuming it is the nametag for her cubby), painted, had snack, played outside (of course), read stories, practiced cutting and writing her name. All in all, it was a great day with lots of fun! She had such a busy morning she came home and slept for about an hour before lunch (she goes to school from 9-11:30).

Jim started classes Monday also, so we had to get a picture of both their backpacks by the door together.

She is all ready to go!

Outside pictures

Of course, bunny had to go too but stayed in the bookbag.

Outside the classsroom.

Sitting and ready to start circle time. Her spot is on the elephant.

She was still smiling when I picked her up. She had a great day and a lot of fun! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you big girl! We now officially have a preschooler!
Looking forward to a great year of preschool!
